Nick Pennink

General Manager, Collective Governors Island

After graduating from Baruch College in Manhattan, Nick landed an opportunity working on the Creative Services and Store Development team with Ralph Lauren Corp in 2010. Having had the opportunity to assist with creating immersive retail experiences across the globe, Nick’s passion for design and creativity were essential for his next career move. As an athlete, Nick rallied his soccer team to participate in a local Tough Mudder event in 2014. Shortly thereafter, Nick joined as a member of the operations team with Tough Mudder, shaping the onsite experience for thousands across North America for three event seasons. Thrilled to be creating a new experience for his fellow New Yorkers, Nick is happy to be part of the leadership team, spearheading the day-to-day operations at Collective Governors Island.

Animal I Most Identify With:

Favorite Collective Retreats Spot:

Sitting fireside at Collective Governors Island just after sunset. Where else can you feel miles away, and have the city that never sleeps shine brightly back at you?

Travel Ritual:

I love being in the elements. I'm most interested in experiencing anything that blends physical activity and the local terrain.
