MATT BASSANT

Manager, Northeast Group and Events Sales

Matt was born and raised at the Jersey Shore and ventured to Philadelphia for college to study Interior Design. During his time in Philadelphia, he began to manage restaurants, ultimately stumbling upon hospitality with Kimpton Hotels + Restaurants. Working his way up from a bellman, to the front office, and then landing his first sales role as a coordinator, was just the start of his career.

After 7 years of creating countless memories and absorbing all things sales-related, he was ready for his next adventure. Matt relocated to the City by the Sea (Asbury Park – also known as the home of Bruce Springsteen) as the Senior Sales Manager for Salt Hotels. During that time, he opened Hutton Brickyards and then returned to Asbury Park with Sage Hospitality.
Matt takes passion in creating authentic experiences and is eager to continue making memories for his guests. On his days off you might find Matt taking a quick 24-hour trip to experience a new city, beach town, or mountain top.

 

TRAVEL RITUAL:

 

Immediately finding the nearest local restaurant – food and beverage is the best way to experience a new place. My idea of a vacation is to live like a local and immerse yourself in their lifestyle.
