Frequently Asked Questions
If your question is not listed below, feel free to email us at info@collectiveretreats.com. We would be happy to assist you.
What is Collective Retreats?
Collective Retreats is a new, meaningful way to travel. We have reimagined the traditional hotel experience, creating intimate destination retreats in unique locations. Each retreat in our portfolio includes accommodations that combine style and comfort, and dining that enhances its surroundings. Through thoughtful design, personalized guest attention, and insider information and tips, you’ll learn about and experience the location in a new way. By the end of the trip, you’ll have connected to the place, yourself, and those around you.
Is it similar to camping?
Not really, but you do have the unique opportunity to connect with nature in a similar way that you would camping. During the day, you can go hiking, biking, fly fishing, or horseback riding, just to name a few. Our accommodations have everything you’d expect from a five-star hotel, from plush beds with high thread count linens to bathrooms with luxury bath amenities. Our chef makes breakfast with a seasonal mix of healthy and hearty options every morning and farm to table dinners every evening.
What do the accommodations consist of?
Each retreat’s collection of accommodations is different. The retreats each feature one or more of the following accommodation types:
Summit Tents: Our thoughtfully designed Summit Tents bring style and comfort to the outdoors, with choice of king-size bed or two single beds made up with high-thread-count linens, private en-suite bathrooms, plush towels, boutique bathroom amenities, and private decks with Adirondack chairs.
Journey Tents: Our Journey Tents are the little sibling to our Summit Tents, created on a smaller scale but with equally unique design features. Each Journey Tent offers a choice of queen or two single beds, fine linens, plush towels, various in-tent amenities and communal bathrooms.
Outlook Shelters: Our deluxe guest room containers are full-service suites with beautifully designed bedroom, living space, and bathroom. These modular luxury hotel rooms are fully sheltered from the elements with climate control, and include a king bed, en suite bathroom with luxury spa soaking tub, two private decks with Adirondack chairs, a living/lounge space with coffee table, as well as mini bar / mini fridge.
What are the bathrooms like?
Summit Tents: Each Summit Tent is connected via private walkway to your own custom-designed bathroom. The bathrooms are housed in adjoined canvas tents, with full-flush toilets, rain-style hot showers, and beautiful sink and vanity spaces. There are thick Turkish towels and robes in the tent, as well as environmentally friendly luxury bath amenities in the bathroom.
Journey Tents: Journey Tents have nearby shared bathrooms with full-flush private toilets, individual rain-style showers, and luxury bath amenities just a few minutes walking distance from each tent. Each Journey Tent includes a bath tote with spa towels and bathrobes.
Outlook Shelters: Each Outlook Shelter has a full en suite bathroom, complete with rain-style shower, luxury spa soaking tub with a view, full-flush toilet, and sink and vanity. There are luxury spa towels as well as Turkish robes for optimal lounging. Environmentally-friendly bath products are also provided.
How much does it cost?
Rates may vary based on dates, availability and accommodation type. The standard rate for our double occupancy Journey Tents starts at $150 per night (excluding tax) for either a queen bed or two double beds. Due to space limitations, our Journey Tents can only accommodate up to two guests. The standard rate for our double occupancy Summit Tents starts at $400 per night (excluding tax) for either a king bed or two single beds. You can check our website for availability or contact us at 970-445-2033 or reservations@collectiveretreats.com.
What is the cancellation policy?
You may cancel up to 12 p.m. local retreat time 45 DAYS PRIOR TO ARRIVAL to receive a full refund. For cancellations made less than 45 days prior to arrival, we will charge the full payment. Early departures or no shows will still be charged at their full rate.
What are the dining options?
We offer full breakfast daily from 8-10 at our Three Peaks Lodge, featuring a wide range of dishes, from hearty omelettes and pancakes to wellness-focused options like yogurt and homemade granola. Breakfast is available for purchase and require 48hr advance notice.
For lunch and dinner, we have a variety of á la carte options for purchase. For lunch, we sell to-go picnic boxes that include sandwiches and snacks. In the evenings, you can choose to book our nightly farm to table dinner, which is served under the stars and features a three-course menu of seasonal local dishes, or go with a more casual BBQ-in-a-Box option.
We request that all lunch and dinner reservations are made at least 48 hours prior to arrival, and all farm to table dinners booked at least two weeks in advance. Our team is happy to help you make your choices and confirm your reservations—please contact concierge@collectiveretreats.com.
Does each tent have its own campfire pit?
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?
We can accommodate for most dietary restrictions, including vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free diets, however we are not a kosher establishment. Please let us know in your reservation request of any dietary restrictions so our chefs can prepare to accommodate and deliver you an exceptional dining experience. Without advanced notice, substitutions may not be available at the time of your reservation.
Will I have my own kitchen?
The on-retreat kitchen is for exclusive use by our chefs. Our grills are available for guest use on Collective Retreats prepared meals only.
