Cozy nooks, sunny stoops, and rustling palm trees in the heart of South Africa’s up-and-coming wine country
Kokos is tucked away in the heart of Riebeek Kasteel, just an hour’s drive outside of Cape Town, South Africa. The Swartland wine region boasts innovative producers, rolling mountains and captivating scenery, and now Kokos Huis, an oasis to sip and stay comfortably.
Huis means “house” in Afrikaans. The house-as-hotel embodies uncomplicated luxury and is designed to let you curate a stay as fast, or as slow, as you like. The 200 year old building has been artfully renovated to maintain the integrity of its origins, seamlessly blending old and new, with whimsical touches that infuse warmth and welcome.
Restored by local suppliers and craftsmen, and decorated with local artisan wares, the huis is a living emblem of local collaboration and design.
Carefully curated to reflect the homeliness of the surroundings, distinct luxurious finishes elevate the overall experience.
