Marina D.

Associate Designer

To Marina, anywhere with an open sky has always been home. As a Kansas native, any topography is new scenery. After obtaining a Masters Degree in Interior Architecture and Product Design from Kansas State University, Marina decided that Colorado was the perfect place to jump headfirst into the industry. Upon making the move to the Mile High City, she set her sights on the Design team at Collective Retreats with a desire to help reinvent the getaway. Joining the Design team here at Collective was about going on an adventure, then sharing it with our guests.

In Marina’s spare time she is obsessed with baking, and mastering the perfect french macaron.

Favorite Collective Retreats Spot

Sitting on the Great Lawn at Collective Governors Island, watching the sun disappear and the city light up from across the harbor.

My Favorite Travel Ritual

I don't go anywhere without ensuring I am fully prepared. This includes language tapes, a map, and more often than not, the local bird guide. I love embracing a new destination like a local and I've found that learning the language and the area are the best ways to do that.
