Justin Tierney

Talent Acquisition Specialist

An Indiana native, Justin grew up in a small town firmly rooted in farm life, but couldn’t shake the dream of traveling and discovering far-off places. After a couple of years chasing surf in Australia and volunteering with nonprofits across Southeast Asia and the Pacific Islands, he went on to earn a degree in Economics and Development. He spent the last few years working in finance and talent operations for one of the world’s largest humanitarian aid organizations. No stranger to the startup world, he also co-founded a coworking space in downtown Denver, The Hive on 16th, and helped launch a campaign, Run5050.org, to help end the global water crisis. Justin joined Collective Retreats to be a part of building a world-class team and connecting passionate people with meaningful work.

Travel Ritual:

I love being in the water, so any chance I get to grab my surfboard and catch a few waves in a new place makes for a perfect trip.

Animal I Most Identify With:

Owl

Favorite Collective Retreats Spot:

Catching a sunset while watching the horses run to pasture at Collective Vail.
