Julie Melillo

People & Culture Manager

Raised in Boulder, CO Julie developed a love for the great outdoors at an early age. After graduating from University of Colorado, she crossed the country to Miami, FL, where she began her career in HR. It wasn’t long before she got the travel bug again and headed to London, UK, where she fell in love with human resources in the hospitality space. Working for one of the worlds largest hotel chains, Julie developed her knowledge and skills in areas including recruitment, training, development, and employee relations. Her time across the pond also turned her into a travel addict, exploring nearly 20 new countries in the 3 years she worked overseas. Now that Julie has returned to her home state of Colorado, she is excited to bring her passion for people and travel to Collective Retreats as People and Culture Manager.

Travel Ritual

I like to make one plan for the day and ask locals for recommendations from there. The best food and views are always off the beaten path.
