Guicho Pons English

Chief Investment Officer & Interim CFO

Collective Retreats perfectly combines Guicho’s love for the outdoors and his passion for real estate and hospitality. His love for the outdoors developed at an early age after spending many summers at camp in the Texas’ Hill Country and North Carolina’s Smoky Mountains. After graduating from Texas A&M University, he joined the Big Four in the audit and M&A groups, working broadly across industries. It was then he realized his true passion was real estate and hospitality, and began focusing on these. Wanting to get his “hands dirty” in operations and development, he joined Alvarez & Marsal, where he held C-Level positions in various high profile engagements, such as Grand Sierra Resort, Diamond Resorts, Lehman Brothers Real Estate Group, and Canyons Resort in Park City, UT. He was most recently Executive Vice President for Ohana Real Estate Investors, where he led the development and day-to-day operations of Twin Dolphin, a master planned resort which includes the Montage Los Cabos and Residences, a Fred Couples Signature 18-hole golf course, and Maravilla, a private residential seaside community. Guicho is excited to work with Collective Retreats expansion efforts into unique and amazing destinations!

Travel Ritual

I often times look for a little something for the house that is unique to the destination and made locally, so that every time I see it when I am home, it reminds me of the trip, my friends and family who I went with, and the memories made!
