Erin Benton is a native Austinite. She has always been devoted to discovering the mind-body connection, graduating from Texas State with degrees in both Dance and Psychology. In 2008 she became Yoga Alliance certified and by 2013 she was teaching, creating yoga teacher certification programs, and training yoga teachers full time. Since then, Erin has progressed into creating programs that combine yoga concepts and whole-person development perspectives. Students describe Erin’s classes as very physically demanding, yet like performing a dance. On the mat and in the classroom, Erin has a deep commitment to finding effective explanations for movement, alignment, and spiritual reflections which allow the practice of yoga to become an experience of mindful expression rather than rote exercise.
